Artist's Statement
'Work for me develops through exploration and observation. Photography enables me to monitor the outside world, its materials and symbols. What remains offers me points to consider, revealing interwoven detail and often morphed characteristics. I am interested in fragmentation…how things break down into parts, segregate and diffuse.

Adaptation, integration and resistance are all concepts relating to my practice. I am interested in how we as humans negotiate and inhabit space, both interior and exterior. Executing spatial work is a highly organic and meditative process. By being conscious of a system of rules I hope to discover but also comment on society, the purpose and function of its existing rules, codes and methods of classification.

Military connotations and practiced strategies have seemingly began to reveal themselves within a vocabulary developed often utilising numerous components and fixed units as a base to demark and uncode entities within a space. '
